Systems Engineer with 10+ years building software for government, companies and startups across Colombia, Panama and Venezuela.

I currently lead development and infrastructure at the IT Office of the Magdalena Department Government (Colombia): I design the systems, write the code, run the production servers and set the technical standard every new project follows.

I don't just write code: I ship it to production and keep it running.

  • I run the Plesk server behind the department's official portal: I diagnosed and fixed an incident with CPU above 100% and Cloudflare's "Under Attack" mode locking citizens out.
  • I set up and maintain Orfeo (document management) on Docker over a physical Xeon Ubuntu server, with a custom image and fixes to the OrfeoNG codebase.
  • Auto-deploy from main for the Government's repositories, plus SFTP deployment scripts.
  • Linux servers with Docker Compose, queues (BullMQ, Horizon), Redis, WebSockets and push notifications in production.
